Thank you to all our participants who put on a stunning show for us this afternoon – it made for a very special end to a year of hard work!
After a full morning of coaching and preparation, all our groups played one movement of a work that they had studied over the course of the year.

We were very privileged to be joined once again by Mr Garfield Jackson of the Endellion Quartet, and welcomed three new tutors to our team: Michael Trainor, David Wigram and Jessie Ann Richardson of the Piatti Quartet for the first time.
The day was rounded off by two Purcell quartets, first performing independently, and who then joined forces to give a rousing rendition of the final movement of Mendelssohn’s String Octet Op. 64. A fitting end to their time as students here at The Purcell School, made more poignant by it being possibly the last time playing together in their current quartet formations!
We are very excited to announce that the Purcell Chamber Music Academy will continue in its current form in the 2015-2016 academic year. We hope to see many participants return, as well as many new faces. Expressions of interest/applications can be made through our Contact page. Further details to be posted soon.
This course would not have been possible without the time and dedication of many, many, people acknowledged below. Our heartfelt thanks to all!
